Changing Tastes

Post by seb421 »

Any one else have these with regrades to bikes?

I used to love the look of the RR6 / RR7 blade, now i think it looks a bit crap,

in contrast i used to hate the RR8 blade, now i find my self drawn to one and almost lusting over a black and red one 8O

The same goes for the Duke 999 used to hate that, now i think its a gem

The TLR was a bike i used to dream of now i look at it think what a fat lump of sh1t that is

I have always thought the TL-R looked like a beached whale (quite enjoyed the TL-S, however).... as for the 999, I think it was ahead of its time; have to admit it wasn`t easy to follow in the footsteps of what is generally recognized as being the finest looking sportbike of all time, however

I use to hate the look of the 916, 996, especially the headlights. But now I'm pondering buying one at some point. It's only natural to Luke something then as times goes on not so much. Especially with bikes. Love the sharp look of R6's but now I think it looks awful. Maybe cut its the #1 squid choice. Or the panigale, I used to like the look of the small seat/tail unit. Now not so much... it's all perspective at a particular point in time I guess. Lawley I've been drooling over that late 90s bikes like those that ran is BSB at the time.

Yeah I get this a lot too.

I too used to love the RR6 blade, hence I bought one. I have gone off them a bit now, but I too love the RR8, I used to think they looked weird, now I really like them.

Same for me with GXSRs too, I used to think they looked top heavy and ugly, but have started to like the look more and more, especially my own K4 :)

Also I used to like the look of the newer R1s but have really gone off them recently.

I must be too young as my tastes haven't changed much, I still get excited over 848's, Mille's and SP's

All the time!

I got bored of revving the tits off my 600 Bandit so bought a big V-twin, now I want a 400 to rev stupid everywhere I go.
I thought a custom of some kind would be awesome now I think they're posey.
I used to think GSXR's were the sh1t, then I thought everyone had one and they're boring, now I think a 600 or something similar like R6 would be good fun.
Only thing I've consistently wanted is an 848, looked awesome when I first saw them, still do, want badly.
I'm all over the place with bikes!

Bikes like the big Katana haven't aged in my eyes, but Some newer bikes do seem to have a very short style window, especially if they are trying to be cutting edge.

But mind you in the 80s they did do some mingers.. A Bennetton CBR600 anybody

I dont think my tastes have changed that much, I still find Aprillia RSVs ugly, the one that seems to be looking out of a window especially.
