Manual Gear-change indicator
Managed to get this fitted, made easier with having Pyramid lower fairing mountings/brackets to mount contacts

Re: Manual Gear-change indicator
nice bit a work there simo
told you not to but oh no you knew better
Re: Manual Gear-change indicator
Yes it works. Cost £14.50 off EBay Two sensors with the wires on mounted on an alloy angle bracket. A fused live to power after the ignition is turned on. One wire to neutral light switch. The alloy bracket on gear change lever holds a small but strong pulse magnet. That's the hard bit as the magnet has. O mounting points. Mines crimped and glued in place. After that it's a case of getting the correct clearance between magnet and sensor. Don't see a lot of it once the lower fairing is back on. Most of the credit must go to Bluestorm996 who did most of the brackets at the same time as he did his. I think they're great for the money, see how long they last.

Re: Manual Gear-change indicator
Others on sale plug into the ECU. That ok for newer bikes but for a Firestorm you'd have to hack into the harness and who knows what wires to look for. Someone might tell us.bsabloke wrote:http://www.exhausist.com/motorcycletensioners.php
