First proper ride

And here it is sitting pretty just out of Buxton

Image

I've not been able to ride it for various reasons, but finally did the precautionary Stopper Mod this morning and managed to get out for a 70 mile ride.
The bike is everything I wanted it to be, I love the power delivery, and the handling is a world apart from the Bandit. Gives so much more confidence and I've not even played with any suspension settings yet. Roll-on overtakes are effortless, it's easy to bimble around on, riding the torque and clicking through gears. Opening it up is simply brilliant, and the noise... oh, the noise! At all revs and all speeds, I just love the engine. The switch to a V-twin has been a good one :)

You sound like a very happy man. Was that a Bandit 12 or 6? Yes the noise....what a beautifully addictive sound. You bike is gleaming.

I was wondering the same about the Bandit, as I nearly got myself a 1200 Bandit back in 2001 instead of the Storm. Glad to hear you're happy with the Vee Twin :D

Chris.

Yeah had to get that mod done for peace of mind!
It was a Bandit 6, great first bike and did a lot on it, but this feels proper...

Nice looking Storm mate.
Mine isn't a patch on my B1250 for roll on acceleration or outright speed but I do like the fat mid range and lighter weight by 50kg.
