front engine mount bits

Post by Ckennedy »

Have any of you got the complete front engine mount bolt plus all the little bits to go with it? I find myself in need of one.

Let me know if you do and how much inc postage

As a temporary bodge three or four years ago I used a length of M12 stainless studding and nuts.
I replaced it with a std Honda bolt and adjuster earlier this year.
It was fine, and of course didn't require industrial steam hammers or an angle grinder to remove it.

And about a tenner all in, with the washers.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Not a bad idea tony bit I may as well do the job right first time. Not in a mojor rush but would like it sooner rather than later. If no one here has one and I can't source a second hand one I'll have to go brand new at the cost of nearly 50quid 8O

Not sure if I have the top one or not. I'll have to have a look.

I know I moved one the other day but think it may be the rear one...

I think the top one got buggered getting it out...

I'll check later & get back to you.

Your in luck...sort of.

I do have one, c/w the threaded adjuster bit & a nut (+a spare nut) but I do not have the castle nut.

It's a bit beaten up & is a bit corroded esp at the nut end but should clean up.

The thread at the nut end is a bit chewed up & the nut wont go on atm but re cut the thread & it should be ok.

As it's a bit beaten up I'll send it to you FOC, if you can use it great, if it's no good bin it.

PM me your addy & I'll get it posted asap.
