So new to the site and as yet do not own a VTR bit in the proses of accuiring one. Currently have an anniversary model CBR 6 F3 which is my pride and joy but feel I need a v-twin in my life an being a honda nut through and through a firestorm/superhawk seems like logical progression. Got knockhill just down the road from me and love tearing it up on the CBR (with a set of race fairings on for just in cases) and I'm interested to see what it's like to go hammer and tongs round a track on a twin. Any advice for riding a twin would be greatly appreciated as I've not been on one before. Peas out folks

You will find so much low end torque you will be amazed. You don't need to give it much to get it going. Also be careful of the engine braking as compared to all il4 its astounding. You won't need the brakes and give it time. If you have never ridden a twin before you may not like it to start as it is completely different. If you don't enjoy the storm there must be something wrong with you

You will find the vtr a little flat in power till you learn how to use it then it'll be eating rear tyres every 1500 miles :-)

Cam chain tensioners and rectifier are the first things to be addressed if they've not been already. Apart from those two things, the bike is normally pretty reliable.

As for taking one on the track, if you want to get a little serious you will find the suspension not very good in standard form. You soon find it's limit on the track.

I am fairly new too and am looking to track my Firestorm.
As mentioned stiffer front suspension is a good idea as well as the CCT and rectifier upgrades.
Will be interested to follow your track experiences, I have Brands Hatch within an hour of me
