List of required parts...

Post by Ckennedy »

Thinking more on my Euro trip I have realised I need to make some adjustments to the bike and acquire some more bits before I go. In order of urgency which I need:

1: brighter indicators (original storm or after market, front and rear) May have some sorted but pipe up anyway. Would like flush mounts for front
2: Rentect luggage rack. I have the mount bars just no grab rail with luggage rack.
3. Headlight beam adjuster lens.

Could do with them ASAP. Planned trip in 2nd week of Sept.

I did have other things in mind but now I have come to list them I have forgot all of them   Will add them if I remember.

Thanks in advance

Headlight beam adjuster lens.
There are adjusters for up/down & left/right on the back of the headlight.

Hope you've got spare wine carrying capacity for the return trip Image

Do I just need to change it to point left then? or is there more to it?

You need to mask off the 'kick up' on the beam pattern, beam benders are the easy option, you can do it with gaffer tape but it can be a bit of a faf about, you'll be able to see the beam pattern against a wall or garage door, then then you just move the beam bender/gaffer tape around until the kick up disappears and your left with a flatline, its much easier to take it to a testing station and use their beam tester to do it.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most

Think a lens is an easier option. Anyone got one?

Just do as Hairy suggested. All that is needed is a triangular shaped bit of gaffa tape or something to block the beam.

I would juts stick it on so it looks the part. Who gives a sh1t about the beam. If it Blinds the French... well.. wombles um.

Yes, and sun tan oil as the cheeks escaping from the speedos on the Riviera beach will go pink in minutes......
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
