Post by dodds »

Just come back from a trackday at cadwell and if your thinking of doing a trackday its a MUST. It was my first time there and its an amazing track to ride, i ended up doing 1.58s which i was happy with and i got some great pics, http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/gallery/762.jpg and http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/gallery/764.jpg . The storm was awesome and the super corsas got a good workout http://www.abercon.co.uk/vtr1000/gallery/763.jpg . It was hell of a trip from plymouth ( 640 miles round trip 8O 8O ) but well worth going and i would go again tomorrow if i could. YOU GOTA DO IT !!!!! dodds.

Dodds did you do the full track? I did cadwell a couple of years ago and it was awesome but was not allowed onto the back end. Safety reasons they said.

Cadwell is an awsome track aint it mate, I did my first one there 9 years ago (blimey!!) so its always had a special place in my heart (and underpants  )
Must say the bike looks cracking in that bodywork, you just need some leathers to match!!

So how did you get on with the brakes in the end mate? Impressed or looking to change?

hi, I did the full circuit which included hall bends and the new flipflop before you get to the bottom of the mountain. The brakes were great mate, i ran out of bottle before i ran out of brakes, but there werent that many people that out braked me into corners, down the straights though a few gsxr 1000 flew by, those bikes a f**king fast 8O 8O , cheers dodds.

Glad the brakes were ok.
You're right about the GsxR's too, though they only seem to come past on the straights, in the corners they're a right nuisance

BTW just noticed your front sprocket cover, looks very smart. Where did you get it or is it a home brew? Any more pics of it?
