storm won't start

Help.

It won't start once its been running with the headlight on. :x
Starts fine cold same hot. but just a click from the starter relay if the lights been on while riding.
But if I leave it a few hours then it will start again.

First check the connection on the front of the starter, remove it & clean it with a file. If that does not cure it then its a matter of checking each system from the battery through to the charging system. Use the following as a guide:

If it's not charging with the lights on it will be a charging circuit problem.
Most likely the reg rec, but possibly the alternator output- one coil of the stator failed, for example.
But my money's on the reg rec, over or under charging the battery. Either way the battery will recover a bit once left to sit for a bit, so meter out the charging voltages and see what you have.
