Hi all

Post by Ddave »

Hi, names Dave and im from sunny Essex. Just recently bought a Firestorm and loving every minute of it! Manual CCTs all fitted but it seems to have a very grabby clutch, i hear new clutch plates will fix it but which are the best? ebc?
So anyone else down here in essex? :D

Thanks
Dave

Greetings

Try bleeding it first. Whereabouts are you? as might you want to compare another storm.

Welcome aboard Dave

Besides changing the fluid, it could help if you remove the sprocket cover and clean out all the gunk from the chain lube and make sure the push rod moves freely, if that's not been down for a while. Just remove the clutch lever before taking the sprocket with clutch slave cylinder off. Otherwise with the clutch lever still fitted it will cause the slave cylinder piston to be pushed out making it difficult to refit the sprocket cover.

You may do that and find it makes no difference, but at least it won't cost anything more than your time to do.

Chris.
