Plugging 1 hole in each slide I will try next, I am running two long stacks. I'm hoping plugging a hole will also slow the slides down a bit and stop them coming on so soon.
Ride safe buddy.

Plugging a lift hole is normally done with the short stack and aftermarket stacks as those are the ones that get the slides bouncing and\or opening too quickly.
I normally run the stock 2 lift holes with the long stacks but I haven't had a lot of experence running to 2 long set up, so it is worth a try to see how if works.
Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.
Stripped my carbs down to clean out now putting them back together and noticed a 1 stamped into one carb cap and a 2 stamped in the other. Are the carbs numbered 1 and 2? Just want to check they are on the right ones as there were some washers missing from work by previous owner when he dynojetted it.
When you say cap I presume you mean the Plastic diaphragm cap on the sides. I can't say I have seen any numbers stamped on them before, and it should not matter which one goes on which carb as they are identical as far as know.

when a dyno jet kit is fitted and the extra hole is drilled in the slide as mine is would it be best to plug it ?
I also have billet stacks and a modded airbox and a 2-1 exhaust .

Too small to see properly, can you make it bigger, and with more horsepower and torques?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
