Any of you lot seen DYNAMO magician impossible?
Saw him on Discovery yesterday and I was blown away!
The guy slammed a dudes mobile phone into an empty beer bottle! The phone were inside the bottle!!! Did the same with a coin! Last thing he did was to walk on water in front of a huge crowd and were picked up by the police standing up ON (not in) the water at approx center of the Themse!!!!

I've no idea exactly how these things are done. they are very impressive, but we do know it's not really magic .
Just very clever misdirection and slight of hand with the use of good props.
Derren Brown messes with my head with his mind reading stuff.

Walking on the Thames he's probably walking on a underwater perspex quay/pier. This can sit just below the surface so small boats can float over the top. And then to give the illusion he could have trainers like clogs so they give a bit of height levelling them with the water surface. Maybe he can press a button and the sole of his trainers inflate like a hovercraft.

Some of this stuff just blows me away.

Exactly! He does the trick with the bottle that he gets from the dude. Than he walks away...

Another thing he did was to balance a plektrum on a drumstick that balanced on a guitar that he laid on to chairs. Then he removed the chair in the heavy end o f the guitar. And it was still balancing! He did that in a normal room where people had been standing just seconds earlier. No time to rig anything.
