You must be nearly as old as me as I remember J/C racing as well.Kev L wrote:Bit like Johnny Cecotto then, but he went to F1, then V8's.

53 this year Chris, and read MCN & MC each week following the exploits of the racers through the early 70's.

Stoner to retire
I dont like Stacey Moaner. Never have, never will. I'll grant hes a good rider, but he's a rock.

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

55 this year Kev hopefully. Good man on keeping up with it all on the weekly reads There was a time when I religiously bought MCN every week without fail for many many years, but sadly I don't now.Kev L wrote:53 this year Chris, and read MCN & MC each week following the exploits of the racers through the early 70's.

Re: Stoner to retire!
What was the name of the other weekly paper? Was it Motorcycle or Motorcyclist? I took a break from MCN for a number of years but have bought it every week for the last 4 or 5. Got to confess I do wonder why I bother sometimes, the journalism is on a par with the Star!
