Harder wearing, and less spongy because they are not rubber. When the pressure is on within the rubber hose the walls expand which can give a slight spongy/less responsive feeling. And then you have the bling factor, and for you possibly more stainless to clean.

As for are they worth getting, it's personal choice and down to how you ride and use your brakes. I personally think they are a cheap upgrade. And would probably pay for themselves in the long run not buying rubber brake hoses.

Just looked into this and waiting for some black lines from Wezmoto - on eBay. Mainly because they are half the price of Hel, Goodridge etc, and I doubt they're half as good.

I have just got the Wezmoto lines. They don't seem too bad but as an afterthought I wish I had gone for the Venhill as they have swivelling banjo's which could ease fitting.

The other thing with braided hoses if they are race spec each front brake is independent of one another. Ie you lose the Y Splitter junction. Both lines attach direct to the master cylinder.

I've got goodridge brake lines and a Venhill clutch line, wish I'd got Venhill brake lines as they are better quality than goodridge.

That's a good price for all three brake lines. From what I can see Goodridge don't have stainless banjos and fittings, they are zinc and the Venhill have stainless. I don't no if the Goodridge have swivelling banjo's or not.

Over the Life of the storm i've had the originals, Goodridge, Venhill and Now HELL lines with the blade set up on the front, Hell are by far the best quality of the three I've used, the banjos are much better too and use a socket / spanner head bolt and not a sh1t Allen key one, i got Titanium ones with my kit

The feel SS line's give you and the increased braking power with no fade is immense over the stock set up, honestly its night and day if your lines are of age now mine had gone spongy when i got the bike

Get a two line HELL set up you wont regret it!

you don't need a back line so much if you want to save money, i had one lieing around for over a year and a half or more before i got round to fitting the rear the other week

Also on the hell lines i have red ends and they are long lasting too, mine have stood up over two winters use and still nice and red, got black lines with red ends, smooth :)

Cheers all, appreciated

That's over £100.00 for the Hel set (including clutch) but if the quality is that good, it's still a cheap upgrade

I have always religiously used Goodridge, and have found their quality and performance second to none.
If you use the build-a-line kit, you can quite often make your own lines cheaper than their ready made kits.
They all have stainless fittings too.

they are all about the same if you get stainless. the difference is the swively ends. they all use the same fittings, all the same chem resistant pipe, all the same stuff.

just DO NOT get aluminium fittings as they tend to explode
