bmw hotrod project "schnell Brutus"

Post by thumperslaw »

Been in my workshop for so long lookin' sorry for it's self.

Any way time to make a "hotrod" bmw and kinda make it look coolo

So the plan is

Big headlight (Suzuki efe) now got one
chop exhaust (not to loud tho) done that tonight 'n' choped 5 inches off it :) thanks bandsaw
Exhaust wrap going on to! free as got it from banger racer :biggrin
changing bars to "drag style" wide but not take the p**s wide
took most of the paint off the tank for the bar look
chopped subframe off also and making around bar instead then make seat unit
shortening forks over the next couple of weeks. Be taking about 2-3 inch off them for the lower look

Might look good when it's done :confused

are you keeping the injection??
i'll be binning all those suitcase sized black boxes and injectors and running downdraught carbs from a 600 diversion, sparks via a modified Dyna2000.

Engine staying stock I think as it's going to be a winter beater bike. Am nodding the air tube from the air box and running a car size k&n or one big ass bell mouth on the side. The air flow meter is a real pain to get around

Interesting project, but an EFE headlight on a winter hack 8O It must be worth more than the bike  Think it should be in my garage really, would be handy as a spare

Yeah i've been on OSS for years but have different user name there, used to post alot but not so much now, usually check in a couple of times a week to see whats happening though..

Is your oldman in/on Katana owners club site ?.

People seem to pay loads for EFE headlights, luckily i've got one on mine made to fit the usd forks with original brackets so looks the part 8)
