belt drive

Post by tradedog »

Has anyone out there had any experience of belt drive with a vtr. I don't even know if its available, but the cleanliness, silence and mechanical efficiency of it seem like a good idea.

Would I be incorrect thinking this?

If anyone knows where to get a kit I would be grateful for that knowledge.

Thx in advance

I had a Buell Firebolt XB9R before the Honda and the supposed great belt snapped on me after 5,000 miles. Its a common defect on buells. The Firebolt was so sh*t that after 9000 miles and numerous weeks in the harley garage I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine and give me a cheque.

I went out and bought the VTR Firestorm. A decision i don't regret, its a great bike. Belts are not all some make them out to be.
