Stoppie

Post by EggShellBlond »

Just done my first ever stoppie.............

With the assistance of a Taxi Driver and a swerving delivery truck

Nice!!

Bit of a ring-twitcher , but all OK. Oh the joys of biking into work

Snap !!!!!!!!!!!

I did one yesterday evening on the way home, when a Bulmers Quality Control Van pulled out in front of me at a turn. Scary stuff for the first time whether voluntary or not !!

Have you ever done a stoppie while filtering through traffic with a pillion?
Happened to me once. It was on a bridge crossing the highway after taking the offramp in between a mini-bus taxi on the right and an 18-wheeler on the left (both standing still). As I got to the rear corner of the taxi the front door flew wide open and I had to STOP or hit it! 8O 8O I did stop but on the front wheel. My wife weight on my back made my arms buckle and my chest broke the screen. Fortunately it was right next to the truck's wheel so the bike (400VFR) came to rest against it and not on the ground. We weren't hurt and only the screen was broken. Had to check my underwear though to see if was still clean.
