Somebody shoot me not bike related thankfully but just managed to reverse my car into another one with a wee old lady in it, thankfully nobody hurt, at least until compensation sets in with her .

Should have used the bike.
No reverse on a bike, except whale sized ones.

Without starting the E5 E10 debate . rode dori to the garage and stuck some petrol in it, i dont like petrol sitting for to long, but the super pumps were outa order so stuck some E10 in and got about a mile up the road and the backfies started and flames out the R/H pipe then onto one pot then it stopped.

just before the battery gave up it fired on the rear and i got it home.. drained down the petrol which looked clean now im thinking jesus not you aswell lol.

went with my can and found a garage with E5, filled it up and bingo away in went?? the only thing that was different was the air temp was very cold today but normally it loves the cold air...

but alls good atm

Pulled them all out to get to the tools...

Replaced the coolant expansion tank on the old Focus... (yes a bloody cage !)

Had a bit of a clean up & sort out in the cave.

Took the battery off Nue Red as it's off road over winter, still have to give it a clean & drop the oil before it gets wrapped up for hibernation...

Looking dry on Sun & Mon so I'll get the bucket & sponge out then...

Only had to move 2 today. Got the the socket set out of the roller unit, only half way down the MacCave...

Dropped the oil out of Neu Red, let that drip away over night...

Tidy back up, bikes away... Bucket & sponge time tomorrow !

Was a dry sunny day so took mine out a we dander for a coffee .

All we seem to get lately down here is rain, or very unsettled weather with heavy showers I suppose that is the same thing..............wet

So Neu Red got the going over today. New Oil Filter & fresh oil.

A splodge of Doc100 cleaning gunk.

Hot sponge bath & a cold rinse.

Quick leather off then a blast of air from me new toy, a bike dryer/blower.

Smartherd the chain inside , outside & both sides with chain lube.

A wipe over with ACF-50.

The tanks drained, the carb bowls empty. The battery removed & the exhaust spouts bagged over.

Parked up till spring time...

The Murvinator remains on line for rides... Heated gloves wired in...

Spring will be here in a flash

Been doing winter prep too, after washing the firestorm I waxed the wheels with regular liquid turtle wax. I use Pocket Rocket (WD type of stuff) and to give the metal bits a spray/wipe including the titanium exhaust as it keeps it all rust free.

I did an oil n filter change, filled it up with Tesco 99 and added fuel stabiliser then run it for a few minutes. I like to believe that the warm up will also vapourise the pocket rocket to kind of add a layer of rust protection in all the nooks and crannies.

I also stick the bike on a CTEK bike charger every couple of weeks to keep the battery topped up, used to leave it permanently plugged in but don't do that any more as I thought it wasn't good for the battery...

Still planning to fire the bike up at least once a month till spring, run it up till the fan kicks in and switch off

Fired my Tuono up for the first time since I got back from the Spain run.
Well, I fired it up after I charged the battery. It's a lithium battery, and has been completely problem free until the tracker reported low battery voltage on Friday- it was down to 12.5 volts.
I only got a chance to see whether it would fire today, and it was down to 8 volts.

I don't have a specialist lithium charger, so plugged in a regular one. Took the battery off the bike first in case it didn't like it, but it's just a 12 volt rectified DC supply, not much different from what it gets when on the bike.
So after an hour it was showing 12 volts so I reconnected and it fired up first push of the button.

Went for a ride to Maidstone to gave a look at new boots. My Sidi's are still relying on a plastic cable tie to hold the sold on at the heel, but that's still holding firm, so I wasn't in any rush to buy new ones, especially with Black Friday on it's way.

Looked at a couple of pairs. Nothing too exciting, so I'll see what the sales bring.

Bike was fine, and I'll keep an eye on the voltage.
It's a lot easier simply seeing what the tracker reports every couple of hours rather than wandering out to the garage and checking with a meter.
