Hiiiiii folks!
Good afternoon folks,
Just a quick intro of myself thought maybe in order as I have just purchased myself a '98 firestorm. This is the first 1000cc bike I've owned and I'm pleased to say it isn't as terrifying as I was expecting it to be.
I got my machine locally (via an ebay sale) - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT and so far I'm loving it. It's got a pair of ART cans on which are ahem road legal and it sounds immense, though I did feel a bit guilty about riding it through the village at 10pm last night! hehe.
I think the first job I need to get done is CCTs though, so I'm busy trying to hunt some down now.
Anyways, that my hellos done for now.
Cheers
Sam

I'm expecting a second grin factor when I get my clutch sorted, hopefully I will look like I can actually ride my bike rather revving the teets off it and getting no where! lol.

Hello & welcome...
You got a great deal on your bike, and its my fave colour too lol..Well done and low mileage too..I know what you mean about the village, we live in a teeny village that hate us for the bikes and think we should ride our free wheel our bikes down the hill, go round the block the long way, so as to avoid upsetting the neighbours with noise...So I just warm up where it is, and leave when I'm ready..tough...lol..These bikes are great..
ABB.

Silly boys...Women do have balls....We just wear them higher up!

Hi.
I live in a tiny village too, and all my neighbours come out and wave at me when I set off. It's a bit loud, so I can't quite catch what they are saying, but I think it's generally favourable.....

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Hiiiiii folks!
welcome to the Forum, as the others have said it looks like a good price for a low milage bike............and its yellow, so faster than the others.
not sure what is louder the race cans or the yellow wheels!
I see you bought the bike from Lemaington Spa, are you from round that way? I take a run out stratford / banbury/ daventry / southam / fosse way / most week ends, so might be passing your neck of the woods.
PS what is wrong with the clutch

Re: Hiiiiii folks!
great deal indeed when you consider hunts are trying to sell an 02 with 9k for 3200!
looks like it's been very well looked after.
all i will say is keep your eye on the speedo til you get used to it - its a relatively low revving laid back engine and it's very easy to be comfortably doing silly speeds!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
