Hi there,

I've been down this route and it was a royal PITA. I had an Acumen one and I couldn't get it to work. In the end I sold it and bought a GI Pro one from http://www.bikersdiscountstore.co.uk/ge ... -pd-42.php. Mike is a good chap and if you buy direct rather than from ebay, you save a few quid.

The fitting is far easier and accurate. It clips into the pulses from the wiring bundle under the seat and one wire clips around a wire from the ECU. No soldering, no cutting, easy. It's more expensive but it works very well indeed.

Good luck
No bike (yet).

their website has guides i think, that you can download, i got one after i lost the original, whats the problem you have with it.
i tool the wires to the bundle behind the clocks and spliced them into there, left the orange one i think it was loose to allow you to program the unit.
