Thanks!

I've signed up, and posted a plea for help (a bit guilty as it's my 1st post, and I'm on the beg....

Sounds like it's a fiddly, bu do-able job...

Fingers crossed I can get a belt on, tensioned and timed, and have no bent valves!

Know a good Volvo chap who works in the Hampton Court area of London if that helps. If so let me know and I'll forward his number.

OK, thanks for the offer - but I've had to admit defeat - it gets picked up tomorrow - a Lodge buddy is gonna have a go, fingers crossed.

I couldn't get the crank pulley off, as I couldn't locate the locking/timing pin to set it at TDC.....

bought a new pump but couldnt even get my hand between the engine and the bodywork lol.
gave up and it cost me £400 to get it towed and fixed.
and id bought the wrong water pump lol
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
