Newbie-to-be

Been lurking for a bit, thought it was time I said hi... I'm an ex-pat living in New York, with an '03 Storm sat in my old man's garage, waiting for me to fly home next week and get my leg over

My brother on my bike:

Dad's good with the spanners, so he's done the CCTs and the Reg/Rec for me (all in the interests of time, of course!), whilst I've passed on the benefit of your collective wisdom from the Workshop. Looking forward to a trouble-free first few weeks on it, including a 1000-mile trip to Belgium for a weekend's classic bike racing. Anyone here going to Gedinne?

Cheers,
Mark

very striking blue in that photo, almost needed sunglasses

nice clean bike, and good that you have your own mechanic to fettle it for you.

if you read some of the other posts you will see that you may have to watch out that your brother its not riding the bike for you when you are not looking, and you may come back to a wreck........tell him to go get his own.

I did see that horror story, but despite being ten years younger, he's been riding longer than I have, and has his own GSXR600 on which he's very competent. Since I'm stuck in NY, he went to pick it up for me...

:D Welcome Aboard :D
Hope you enjoy Belgium. It was pretty flat and boring for on the bike when I passed through it with Timbo earlier on this year. Hope you find some better roads than we did or at least the racing makes up for it

I did get wee in my eye when I failed to clear me old fireman's yellow waterproof trousers once, but Optrex did the business.
