I decided to do that same run today,.......never got too much sun though ,but it stayed dry so i can't complain
Richie (Cupasoop) never got a pic when he went through the Mennock Pass......so here's the one i took today ,there was around a dozen tents up through the pass, wild camping , what a setting .
Then on to Wanlockhead.......just what it says on the tin.........err signpost Was quite cold up there actually. Freeze the baws aff a brass monkey it would !!
There's gold in them thar hills(honestly).......folk pannin for gold in the burn(stream) behind the museum/tearoom. Saw folk using metal detectors in the hills as well.
Twisty Red Road .
Aghhh...the M74 (just north of Moffat) .....we dont wanna go there (Moffats good ,the M74 isnt),.......so..the "Dalveen Pass" it is...
Somewhere along the Dalveen Pass....nice twisty road...
Even better with an ariel view, well nearly,lol...i walked 20feet up the hill next to the road

Neally right Timbo..Indeed people from Scotland are Scots, But the name "England " is a derivitive from the name Ang'land as in Anglo Saxon,
So it follows that people from England should be referred to as Angle's or Saxo's.....So could all the people "south of the border" on this website now be referred to as VTR Saxo's...........ok i'll go back to my room
