D.Hill Mobile Mechanic - Chorley

Post by seb421 »

Recived fanstastic service,

Picked up bike Yesterday, braught it back to day.

fitted new pads.
Checked Valve Clerance
And Retimmed the cams (which i completely wombles up my self and went for a ride on... big mistake)

the timing is spot on now, only issue is a ticking noise from engine when revs are shut off and no engine breaking at all :eek2

but he said he will have to strp engine to sort that and would charge about 200 quid, which i think is very reasonable. top guy

Oh, sh!t, sounds like lack of compression from bent valves after mistiming the cams.
Hope not, but £200 very reasonable for labour for top end strip, IMHO.

Ask him what areas he'll cover when you see him, and let us know? :plainsmile
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

yeah he's a top bloke, a few of the lads i know use him now

few days after my first post i gave him a bell and he picked up the bike and sorted it and re sink the carbs up and a few other things he tweaked, all in all was about 70 quid... i couldn't believe it i taught he was joking as i was expecting a lot more!

he's done a number of things for me with the bike since

other week he picked up my dads blade, took it to his house fitted a data tool gear changer thing (it had wires that neaded tapping into the loom so i thought wombles that get a pro) and he brought it back in about an hour with the job done! top man
