strangely the brembo's have very little depth of pad, but i'm told they wear very slowly, iirc jonesy use's these, and if they're good enough for the god of brakes then they're good enough for me, i will be using them in the near future....

Luckily I was not out on the bike today, but I was yesterday for a short time and nearly went to Falmouth. Take a look at this link for Falmouth down here in Cornwall, not more than 14 miles from me:-

Rather weird/strange as the day before people were on the beach. I feel very lucky not to have been caught out in that on the bike,

well today I played with how it handles,or lack of.. wound the preload of a bit on the forks. added a little oil.. reduced the tyre pressures, 32frt, 34 rear. and added another 3mm to the 6 mm spacer I had in the rear shock.and softened it of a little as it was very hard... what a difference. loving it. steers better and faster and with the high bars you can ride the thing like a supermoto in corners....happy little piggy now.. :D

Fitted new MTC GP Pro exhausts and changed the oil on the bike :biggrin

Not so much fun... Researching how to remove my horrid Spyball Alarm without to much hassle involved

Got the discs back after paying for them to be straightened, went to swap them and realised the pistons were sticking, so ended up stripping the calipers down completely. All looked ok except for the dirt so they went back together ok. Bit concerned when I put wheel back in and span it the discs did not look totally straight, if you held a screwdriver against the outer edge you could see a slight variation, however, rode down the road with the rebuilt calipers and everything seems to feel right, no vibes or pulsing.

Will bed the brakes in then take for mot tuesday and see how it goes, I was gutted when the discs looked wonky but happy to find fault in the calipers, and that it rides ok. Just got to wait and see what uber sensitive brake tester says.

Also fitted a tyre off my mates blade onto the storm as mine was clapped out and put a legal number plate on so we're all set for mot now.

So back in the ManCave for more Dresden fettling...

Stripped off the front brakes, callipers, lines & M/C.

Put the front wheel back in.

Dug out the extended lines I have to compare lengths prior to fitting the flat bar conversion ect. One line has no banjos, no worries I'll take them off the lines already on the bike...Same thread but different internal ''prong''... :(

Goodridge have a much thinner prong coming out of the banjo, going into a much smaller hole in the end of the line.

So I need two banjo's before anything else happens with the front brakes...
