I only ask because having an artificial knee joint and limit movement in the left leg 270 miles is a long way, and I would prefer the progressive group, I guess I’ll just have grit my teeth and remember to bring some codeine :D
I've now gone all European and bought a KTM Superduke GT and Aprilia RSV1000R :D ,
Storm is now gone  .

I'd guess map 2 would be the same as map 3 only without the top bit.

So where the relaxed guys are stopping in nice tea shops and looking at the beautiful scenery, the progressive team are racking up the miles and eating when they stop at petrol stations.

based on that definition you can decide which group you want to be in.

regarding Budds questions about shortcuts, I just checked and there are the following options

1) 120 miles http://goo.gl/maps/x33RL
2) 220 miles http://goo.gl/maps/tkicA
3) 270miles http://goo.gl/maps/Baxo2

I can also cut 20 miles off option 2 and 3 if I just come straight down the A470 to Dolgellau
Why that shortcut across the newtown/crossgates road?

Didn't we go over near Shrewsbury more last year?

Ignore the shortcut at the top of the Newtown road, that's just google map being stupid.

last year we did a southern run and ended up from Brecon going east towards Leominster, we didn't go towards Shrewsbury.... That I can remember, but I am old and getting senile

I copied this route of the bike website, I have only ridden about 30% of the roads, so I quite like the idea of going somewhere new

Good, now get started on Virt's borrowed bike

I'll be in the prog rock group, but mine will probably still be running in, so you may have to bear with me only going past you once or twice instead of several times.

But the knackered (read: slick) tyres and over-indulged chain and sprockets may slow the fun down a bit.

That's if this weekend goes ok....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
