So whats a tangerine 98 worth?. Its done 12k and very clean with max torque cans , Tyres ,chain, brakes all look good as new . Nothing needs doing except the usual upgrades to reg etc. Forks set up by specialist , paint exelent . Starts on the button ,Best bike I have ever ridden ,but no use to arthritic old fart.
I'm sorry to hear that too.

I have heard of one or two Firestorm owners who have lowered the bike. I believe Hagon-shocks.co.uk can supply you with a shorter shock taking care of the rear end, as in making it lower. For the front you can slide the fork stanchions further up in the yokes to lower that. I'm not sure how well the ground clearance works with this modification (off the top of my head I'm thinking about the front header pipe). It could be worth having a chat with Hagon to find out more, especially as this is the best bike you have ever ridden.

What did you have in mind to replace the Firestorm with :?:

As with regards to selling, you'll get a better price next year when the next biking season is around the corner,

Chris.

Hi Chris, I will put the cash to something low and simple . or swop . looking at an Indian Enfield ,a bike that the boys can use too. I will call it Steve's bike ,so that we will think of him when we ride it. The VTR was his. An Indian will be good for vintage runs, and be a good match for the Rudge Ulster .

Hi Bob,
I'm sure Steve would be happy with that :)
At least you know what you want to do.

Good luck with your plan,

Chris.

Always sad to read of 'age' determining what we can, and can't, ride. Truth is that we're all heading that way. I guess the best motivator might be to 'make the most of it while we can.' (I preach this as a 67-year-old)

The positive side is that there are plenty of good 'comfortable' bikes on the market, the Enfield being one of them.
