Sorry for delay in replying, must have missed this post.
Yes, the 2's my main funday ride now, the little cbf 600 is reserved for commuting duties.
All I have to do now is make a rack so I can strap a tent and sleepy sack on.

Mac, I've strapped a 1 man tent and sleeping bag on the pillion seat using a hook net, no problem to skegvegas and back.

So have I thanks Kent to Wales & back...

It's not me asking the question & Tony has a SP2 not a Storm...& he's done more camping on a bike than most...the heels make changing gear an issue sometimes ...

Apologies haven't taken my pills yet today.
By the way that's a beautiful sp1 at my age better than porn

SP2.
The pillion seat is a separate unit, so isn't as stable as a Storm seat, which will stay put because you're sitting on it.
Yes, I saw Pete's plywood perch piece, and I have a spare rear seat to use as the basis for a conversion.
It should be stable and capable of carrying the weight no problem.

I ordered an undertray today and that'll makevstrapping round the tail easier, and I've fitted some very tiny button indicators so that they don't get in the way.

I thought I may as well go straight to the 2, it's almost the same but better injectors and fueling, allegedly.
It saved me having to retrofit the later parts.
It's recommended, but you lose the ability to enjoy pottering around in traffic like you can with a Storm- I went out on it yesterday and the roads were busy, didn't enjoy the ride at all as it's so jumpy and stiff at low speeds, so I came home and put it away.
I should have take the little 600, that would have been a much nicer ride.

However- show it a half-empty A or B road, and entirely the opposite applies...

I admit to sp envy.
Unable to ride I could quite happily park up and stare at it, saddo that I am

Glad you are sorted Tony. I've still got that piece of ply in the garage if you get desperate but I wont be home for another week to do anything about it.

Now that's what I call an upgrade Tony. Now don''t go adding to many bits to it and start stripping it down otherwise the wife will be putting you out with the chickens. It would be considered cruelty to ride a bike like that in London.
