Today I ducked in and out between heavy rain and tinkered with my carbs again. I spent about 30mins messing with the TPS and got it spot on 500. :D got the standard jet sizes in, but added some dynojet adjustable needles. I set these to position 3 from the top with a shim underneath so about midway in total. Got it all back together and played with the mixture screws with the idle speed up at 1800. I hate the position of these screws, they are such a wombles to get to and adjust. I have a proper carburettor screwdriver and it still gives me grief. I'm considering buying some of these http://www.ziptyracing.com/fuel-screws/ Carb Bling
After all that I have not had the chance to go for a ride and have been reading so much here and on superhawk site my head is spinning. In the end I went on the bay and ordered a Factory Pro 1.1 Ti jet kit. :biggrin  Can't wait for that to arrive.

I got mine dirty...

Aka, been riding it to work again... Not really the weather for it, but as the car needs an MOT I didn't have much choice.
Rain, wind, fallen bit of tree and a low hanging branch that almost took my f*ckin' head off.

Now it's got wood mulch all over the belly pan :(

Merc HQ is around these parts and they give them out to employees - the number of appalling mismatches between car and driver is believable

5.5 S
(FYI - it was 97 bhp with Stubbie straight through cans, factory filter and stacks)
So this is how it was and you have had another long stack, K&N and tune up and gained this.

The new curve should be interesting with the 2 long stacks.

What have I done to my bike today.
Had the carbs off (again  ) getting quick at this now  and moved the needle clips 1 step richer as I was not happy after yesterdays experimentations as it had a bit of carb cough.

Glad to say passed without a problem, now let the summer commence!!

But its raining Marmite :/. Mind you, the hosepipe ban is about to be lifted. That should bring about a heatwave!

On topic, just fitted the Speedohealer v4. Nice bit of kit, easy install. Took her for a quick run with the new filter in, and yes she DOES run like sh1t! So, ot with the new and in with the old! Then to save for a bloody jet kit (and to pick some of your brains!)

The factory pro kit gives you guidance on which jets to use dependant on the filter, pipe combinations. Don't know whether the Dynojet kit does?
