You could have saved money and bought gloves with thicker palms.

Sod all TBH.

So as Custards Insurance will need renewing at the end of the month...

Plan A was to sort out Blonkey, get it all legal, retire Custard from commuting duties...

However following on from Fridays 30mins + just to get the tank off...Yesterday I gave it a good clean...

Air box off, 2 screws missing, no sub filters (well manky bits of one of them...) Popped the carbs (filthy!) off, heat shield out of the way...Brushed on degreaser & steamed it off...Removed some wires for some accesories fitted in the past but now no longer in evidence.

Made some sub filters, made some gaskets for the MCCT's to be fitted...It started raining...So gave up for the day.

I checked the paperwork to see if it had an MOT left...Nope...so to get it through It will need tyres, fair enough...but It also has a leaking fork seal & I doubt the chain has much life left in it & the shock linkage will need doing as well...

MOT history is a bit sketchy last one I have is back in 2015 & it hasn't had a lot of use since then.

I think the bike has been stored outside...probably in a salt mine...

So not wishing to throw loads of cash at it Plan B has started forming in the deepest, darkest & most likely thickest part of me brain...

Custard has now got 53k on it, whilst Blonkey has a mear 34k if I swap the wheels, forks & swingarm over, all being well the only big outlay will be a new C&S kit, get an MOT & insure it & jobs a good un....

Problem with that is I need the bike to get to work on... So weekends only to do the work & MOT place closed on Sunday...Hmmm

Whers PlanC when you need it...

Best style belly pan by miles, but in yellow it looks sh1t, paint it black.. And while your there the wheels !, either paint them another colour or black the out rims, the smooth bit up to the rough cast would look very good.

And while I'm picking holes in it
The high levels yuk !
Blade front end ok but a slimmer mudguard would look much better, far too chunky for a storm.
The indicators.

Is that another Ohlins damper on the top, did you have to buy the whole bike as you were out of stock of Ohlins :P

ACCT'S

Um

Fitted locks to the Leather panniers ( stop chortling) changed the screen and removed the cat and Fitted Short Tor Pipes, tad loud, 131 db at 2400 revs, so awesome though.

Fitted the Sat nav and Phone charger.

hello again by the way, been off skiing, a lot.

Put tougher slide spring in front carb, hope it will cure a bit my problem with rich midrange.
