that's going to look sweet Al. how does the fork length compare to the storm, as I remember reading the storms fork length is an unusual one, longer than most sports bikes and shorter than most touring bikes.

What size discs Al.I have 320mm on my bike with the Ducati 916 front end and Brembo calipers,they really bite.

have to credit Lloydie with the homework on this mod, when he used CKs spare Touno Gen1 bits on his track bike. So, Yes, the forks are the same length as the storm and the yoke offset is also very close.... the big job is to retrofit an early Fireblade stem [in the last picture] into the aprilia yokes. that needs a machine shop to knock up some pressfit spacers both top and bottom.

I think they are 320, but I haven't got the wheel & brakes delivered yet

How come you're using these forks and not some blade ones? I found my 929 forks went straight on.

again I blame it on lloydie

he has done 3 different front end swaps on his storms [RWU Blade, 929 USD and Aprillia Gen1 RSV] and he rated the Aprillia ones as the best setup......... so that and the fact that I wanted to keep the flat bars, and that I like to do things the less obvious route brings me to al these parts in my garage.

Yes, that was my thinking Chris, don't need to get a new topyoke conversion as it is already made up. I might need to alter the bar clamps back to suit 7/8" diameter bars and also to sweep back more, but some TDM850 bar clamps will do that job perfectly and bolt direct to the Touno yoke

Minor repair to the Baglux harness on the Custard.

Swapped some leavers over from Blonkey to The Red Shed.

Found out that the fuel cap on Blonkey, which has some nice red anodized bolts , is only held on by one of them !
Only 3 of the 7 bolts are actualy doing anything, the other 4 being decorative. Two of the long ones have been cut down & glued in place...There are two snapped/sheared bolts in the holes in the tank...Glued 'em back in for now...

Started stripping down the motor that was in the Mervinators bike, the one he seized up.
Took the heads off, the cams look ok on scoring or anything, the valves are a bit carbboned up, but should be serviceable...

Will rip into the grubby bit tomorrow, sump off ect...

That's a point, the Tuono's use Fatbars don't they, so bigger diameter than your 7/8" Renthal's,
