I could make you a double glazed window as that was a job I did for a few months in the 80s - thankfully left with all my fingers but a weakness for sniffing neat ammonia :crazy:

Assembling them into door/windows and ftting them is a different story but there must be a youtube video how-to.

local mr fixit.house repairs gardens etc.less hours than farming and the customers dont die quite as often :eek2

AFAIK you really need a FENSA registered company to fit your doors and windows, although new build properties or extensions, conservatories and porches are exempt. If you don't have a FENSA certificate, should you wish to sell your property in the future you'll have to get the council out to inspect and pass the work. Providing the new windows and doors have been fitted correctly you'll be okay, but of course it will cost you for the council to do the inspection. I'm not sure if the regulation varies from council to council throughout England, but that is the gist of it.

Shipbuilding Engineer at one of the big Megayacht builders in the Netherlands, operating in the range of 55-110 meter.
