that BMW has some great ideas and engineering touches, but it just doesn't work for me. the Honda is easier on the eye, but has less skill to build it

The can's too long, a 300mm reverse cone megger spits better flames, and it's crying out for a speedway air filter.
And ace bars, and a sissy bar to strap your camping gear up to, and a topbox converted from a 12v camping fridge to keep your beer cool.
and the CB125s engine develops more power, especially if you can find a high-compression piston from an old 500/4, as they share the same bore and stroke.

And that, my friends, is what carried my sorry butt around to a rally every weekend for over a year while I was building up some no-claims bonus after a little ban a few years back. Including in the snow in January. (Brass Monkeys rally)

Everywhere from Cornwall to Scotland. I put 100,000 miles on that speedo, and it went to the TT, too. I rebuilt it with a new pare piston, rings and bore on the motorway hard shoulder on the way back, as it seized a bit.; it was run in by the time I got home. I had the spares with me just in case....

They don't have to be big bikes, y'know....
