I think the engine and carb are same from A1 to A3, but I would need to do more work to find out

missed the fact that it was a KX not a KH A3............ having read the article I now know what you are saying

just followed the chain......... I knew the 1st guy asked him to talk to the guy he gave it to, and he then asked the guy he gave it to.... etc.......... and last man in the chain scratched his head for a bit and then remembered he left it at his Nans

Having grown up with these little pocket rocket bikes like yourself Al, it's good to still see some about. I wish I still had my Suzuki TS100.
Your bike is looking in lovely condition 8)

Chris.

Haha. It's pretty lucky someone along the chain wasn't a knob and sold it or something.

if I can get a spare one I will do a cut down chrome one, otherwise I am looking for a small glass fibre rickman style one

Great story behind that. Looks good that Al and I think you done the right thing keeping it standard. Love the exhaust. I wish I still had my old RD125 Twin. I wonder how many old bikes are sitting in sheds across the UK.

if you grew up with and got into motorcycling on these little bikes, riding one again takes you all the way back to the simple joys that got me into biking in the 1st place.

It is amazing the emotions and memories that riding an old bike can bring to the surface....... its not possible to ride it without smiling.

I recommend that you all try and find an old bike like the ones you rode when you were 16 or 17 and get it in your shed..... just working on it takes you back to simpler times. you don't need to go for high value bikes like 250LC's or X7's......... an old 125 works :D

Prices of these old bikes is ridiculous.
