@Tempest good to hear you got your carbs stripped and cleaned etc and the bike is up and running. Love the analogy you have made there with colour profiles and different monitors. :thumbup:

Without wishing to be drawn in, I'll merely say that these bikes are usually jetted a little rich anyway.
For me,
If it will start without the choke on, then I don't use the choke.
But ideally, get the choke off before riding away, as long as it's running smoothly you don't need it up to running temp on the gauge, just warm enough to take a bit of acceleration without getting woolly.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
