Thanks for all the replies and info, seems a very friendly forum, once again i can't wait for the next future rideout down this end.....weather permitting of course!! I've never done a rideout but just love the sound of doing one...can't wait!! :thumbup:

Beamish how do you change the original cct's with a bolt?

As far as i know mate,you take out the internals,and drill/then tap a thread into your cct,so it accepts a bolt,thus convertin it from being spring tensioned to a manual tension cct.

If you do a forum search there will be loads of info and pics of them ,hope this helps you :)

LOL, i seem to be getting quite a bit of interest for my bellypan :) I'm actually looking forward to going to work this week as it's the only time i get to ride my bike, lol

Thanks alot Coledog, i really want to put the Cans on but the guy said it misfires, not sure if that means they are the wrong cans or it needs jetting or something else?

As BP said a bolt runs down the thread where the adjuster cap now sits. It doesnt actually turn it into a manual tensioner though but it does stop the CCT retracting if the spring snaps thus stopping damage to chain, casing, valves etc.... Loads of info including drawings on this site.

i have a set of aftermarket cans and they all pop and bang it just lets you know you are riding a twin i love it

So putting them on wouldn't damage anything then, i need to solve my not starting problem now anyway!!

in that i may stick the cans on then, just someone i would need to get it jetted if i stick em on?

As they were supplied with the sale, it may have already been jetted for them :)

Try them and see how it feels, then check the plug colour, better still check the plugs first, if they are black then its been jetted for richer mixture :)
