I'm quite partial to Laphroiag meself, other favourites would include Tobermory, Talisker and Highland Park. Oban is nicely rounded too. One to buy if you're ever on Mull is Iona, which is brewed at the Tobermory distillery and (when we were there at least) wasn't available anywhere else. I much prefer smoky or peaty malts, can't drink blended anymore unless it's just as a nip in coffee, alas the relatives insist on buying me blended every Xmas with the exception of me dad who is something of a connossieur.

And no mention of the striding man " Johnnie Walker ", blended and bottled in my home toon , Kilmarnock :!:

Mind you ,they dont do single malts ,do they :? ,although blue label is a blend of malts and grain i think :!:

Sarson's malt goes well with chips, round our way.

Don't know if it's wood smoked, or what, we just get it at Asda's.

Although that exotic stuff that surrounds pickled onions has a special kick all of its own.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
