Did the Banbury, Southam, Daventry loops early this morning and fiddled with my suspension.... Found a pretty good setting back and front, then added 5 clicks on the steering damper (which I usually run at 0) and wow, what an improvement! Bike is so stable on the arrival at corners and full throttle exits, especially if the road is undulating.... Felt like it added 10 to 20mph to the comfort zone.

Then I started spotting helicopters so was getting paranoid that it was the police, then I worked out that they were a different type every time...... I was too close the Silverstone and it's the VIPs heading into the F1 gp.

Good fun though :D

Found some 45 pilots in a spare/scrap set of carbs, and fitted those, with 172 front, 180 rear, almost spot on, so I'll run that for the dyno on Tuesday- feels good anyway, let's see what the numbers say.
Funny really, the smaller jets you fit, the quicker it goes......
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

stripped off the fairing and glassed in a bit of mat behind a couple of hairline cracks (right in the back corner of the rad cut-outs, not all the way through and possibly just the paint), cleaned and gt85'd the upper forks, cleaned and lubed the steering damper :)

Rode it down to Brands Hatch to watch Popkat race... then  then

See here...http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34168

Popped in on Mr Mons on the way home & rode his bike for a bit...he wanted my opinion of how it was running.

For what it was worth it's very crisp. It's also very crispy but that's nowt a good aqua blasting wont cure...

Very good fuelling throughout the rev range...the brakes are shite but it pulls well...

finally covered my seat as I want it in carbon fiber vinyl and matt vinyl, I had put it on hold until I had solved the rubbing against the tank issue.

Also fitted VTR wheel decals and stomp pads.

Im very pleased how a few touches can improve the look of a bike, I think the wheel decals give it a more sportier look

Very nice, I just powdercoated my fork sliders black and combined with new discs it has really tidied up the look of the bike.

I always like these wheel decals when I see them, I wonder if they'd suit a blue bike just as well...
