Lower seat height

Post by daveco2 »

I'm a short 5'5" rider.
Any suggestions on how to get the seat height down by 1.5 inches? Maybe different drag link?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Welcome on board
I,could suggest letting the air out of the tyres but how about a corbin seat instead.

I'm about 5'7" but my legs are a bit short in proportion to to the rest of my body. One thing that help me a lot was a pair of thick soled boots. The front sole is about 3/4 inch and the heel about 1 1/2 inch. With normal shoes I only get my toes on the ground but with these I can get the ball of my foot on the ground. If you go for boots with a too thick sole your gonna have hassles with the gear lever.

The second thing is to drop the front about 5mm to 7mm. This actually helps more for better steering than lowering the seat height noticably.

Hope this helps.

L.O.L.!!!! :D

Beats me...

Fortunately I'm not big and hairy and I've chosen my boots so that they don't look like stilletos. The only issue that I've got with my height is that I can't choose just any bike no matter how I like it. :( Other than that I've got no issue with it. 8)
