One of those rare special days.. set off from Lanchester (near Durham) cross country to Alston then over Hartside Pass over to Penrith stoppin on the top 4 a brew..This road has stunning views and some amazing twisties..if you haven't done it you gotta try it!!! Then heading down through the Lakes down to Devils Bridge for late breakfast, then Skipton over the tops back to sunny Manchester...about 270 miles one and a half tanks of unleaded..summer at last :lol: :lol:

It does rain here too, but not as much as Manchester! My son lives there and I have yet to have a whole day without grey or drizzle.

The roads/scenery up there are more varied than here that's for sure!
