Micron Cans

Post by stevieVTR »

Does anyone have Micron Race Cans on their Storm. If so can you tell me how they are, ie noise, power increase etc.
I want to release the v-twin sound but not so that I set off car alarms and wake the neighbours up at 5am.

Had thought about those but its down to cost and I may be able to get a pair of Microns around £200 which is probably about half the cost of Blueflame, Remus, Quill etc.

i did used to have a set of micron race carbon cans on my storm & boy they were pretty noisy... the downside is carbon cans are not really reccomended for V twins.. somthing to do with the power pulses?? apparently... but anyway my ones were always needing repacked

Carbon cans - not recommended for twins? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Termignoni and Ducati spring to mind here

Or have I missed something?

Ended up buying SS high level Scorpions with removable baffles (e marked) at Ally Pally. Bloke on the stand said to avoid carbon as well as he has VTRs and said he managed to destroy a set on a track day!

They cost £350 for the oval high level e marked with removable baffles in stainless steel and you get extensions for the hangers so you can keep the footrests.

Rhino Dyno (Croydon) Stand G137 inside the door of the main hall. They had one set only when I bought mine though they were taking orders. If you go on Sunday you should get some good deals though there didn`t seem to be too many bargains today. The bloke on the stand reckoned he was knocking off about £140 but I wasn`t originally going for Scorpions so I don`t know how the price compares.
