Central Scotland request for this Saturday

Post by OldBob »

Hi everyone

It’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum, and I wish I could have join with a more jovial request.

If there are any stormers in Central Scotland who like the idea of a 7:30 start on a Saturday morning, then I am asking for a little something.

The following link explains a little, but I’ll try to detail more here.

http://www.centralmotorcycleclub.com/fo ... 19&pid=492

James was an 18 year old bike fanatic who succumb to cancer last Saturday. He was an avid follower of our club and an honorary member. Due to his illness he was unable to take part in many outings, but when he did join us, his smile said it all.

His funeral is this Saturday (8th Sept) and his family has requested a motorcycle procession in memory of his true passion. He will be carried by a sidecar hearse and the procession and service will be a celebration of his life.

I know this request is out of the blue and dragging your ass outta bed at an ungodly hour on a Saturday is not your idea of a good start to the w/end, but if you have nothing else planned and your Storm is waiting patiently in the garage, then we would be eternally grateful if you could join is at the Mahratta Bar car park on Bo’ness Road, Gragemouth at 7:30am on Saturday.

We basically want to bring Central Scotland to a standstill

Feel free to contact me at webmaster@centralmotorcycleclub.com or post a PM here with any questions etc.

Thanks for taking the time out to read this.

Hope you get a good turnout for Sat Bob,
It is a hellish thing the big C, even more so when the boy was so young. :(

Cheers guys.

If the weather stays as bright, then we might entice others to join. I just want to see the peoples faces (in their tin cans) when a coffin strapped to the side of a Hyabusa overtakes them :D.

I'm sure that's how James want's to be remembered... Totally whacky and people saying "what the f...".

If you believe in that stuff, then I'm sure he's up there doing do-nuts around the big guy.

Isn't the Steve Hislop memorial ride thingy this weekend too?

Thanks for all the messages people.

I don't think we could have gone any better yesterday. James final ride was certainly one to remember. Glorious sunshine, plenty of bikes, and an escort he would be proud of.

Family and friends send their thanks to all who attended and took part in their celebration of James life.

He was a cracker to the end. Apparently the Rev clocked 120mph down the motorway and lifted the sidecar wheel going round a corner (not bad considering he had the funeral director on the back and a 18 stone passenger in the sidecar. Big thanks to the fastest pastor in the west. He made the day something special for all. (http://www.motorcyclefunerals.com) .. Check out the Busa.

No tears in the crematorium, but hysterical laughter when Dolly Parton started singing "Baby I'm burning...".

God Speed James. I'm sure he's up there pissin himself laughing.

Thanks again to all.
