Thanks Tony!
Great clip.
Couldn't believe how that overall bike sound transported me back to watching this 'scrambling' in my parents place in the late 60's as a eight/nine year old (I'm 48). Instantly back in time. Amazing.
The braces on trousers that are tucked into the sea socks and boots. The course marked out with wooden stakes. Spectators moving back as one bike jumps a bit towards them............... then they stand back against the rope again!! I also like the 'marshal' who wanders across the track and with his back to the racers in the same spot where Vic Eastwood lost it earlier (9min 30 sec). Personal safety? Well he had a Belstaff waxed jacket and trousers on so that's OK then.
Happy days eh? (Fonzi?)
