Didn't take long for the jokes to start... Love him or hate him, Steve really was a genuine guy. Believe it or not, that character wasn't put on for the public. Pacifier went to school with him & reckons he hasn't changed a bit.

In saying that, don't get me wrong, I'm not taking offence (although Pacifier might... think he's in denial (no river jokes please...)). Minutes after I found out, a text came through about him forgetting to wear his sunscreen that would've kept the harmful rays away  .

To be honest, I reckon any jokes that come out of this, Steve would laugh at more than the rest of us. After all, we Aussies are known for taking the mickey out of ourselves (or so I believe).

I just think it's ironic that he was killed by something as generally harmless as a stingray. Pacifier reckons "he deserved to be eaten & shat out by a croc"...

Now another popular Aussie (although I didn't like him... he was a b8stard to his wife) has died stupidly.

Peter Brock (Aussie's most well-known Holden driver) ran off the road & wrapped himself around a tree!

Yup, Brock was "King of the Mountain". He died yesterday in a rally. His navigator walked away almost unscathed.
