Ban on selling anything but leccy cars delayed until 2035

Post by tony.mon »

So the goalposts have been shifted, and now diesel and petrol cars can be sold in the UK until 2035. Great news, as petrol would have got very expensive if only old cars and motorbikes were using it.
We'll all be able to carry on riding around at 20mph for another 12 years. Lovely.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yeah, and probably won't happen in 2035 either.
IMO Just a big con. They know damn well that electric is not going to work, they just want to be seen to be doing something about it, it's not the answer, and they know it.
Dont get me wrong, Electric cars have a place, that is for small commute to work, on small islands where you dont need to do the miles, and for someone who mostly just nips to the shops, but for everyone else another form of energy is required.
Just like HS2 con, I said right from the start they should build it from the North down, not South up, or we'll never see it In the North.
And look what's just happened.
The North is loosing out again.
What bunch of lying crooks.
:Argue 1: :x rant over

If they were that worried about pollution, leaders from all over the world would not be flying in their private jets to G7 Summits and the like.
