I adjusted the tickover speed and adjusted the mirrors!

Decided to give the high-mount link pipes (Akra full system) another shot. I compared them to the low-mount links and the highs are about 4-5" longer, which should translate to better lows and mids. As per usual, I had to richen the Flo-Commander main circuit one-quarter turn and turn in the fuel screws a quarter-turn as well (which indicates a better vacuum signal at low speed and weaker at high speed). Engine feels a bit more raw but slightly snappier in the lower registers. As some of you know, I am running the filter-in-lid mod (a K&N filter for VTR fit into the lid). As my OCMD is so apt to do, I began thinking that maybe the surface area was too large for the intake signal and that perhaps it was impairing intake velocity (slow air speed generating less cylinder filling). I cut out a piece of cardboard which cuts off intake area about 40% and, lo and behold, it seems snappier at speeds below about 7K but then seems to fall flat a bit more quickly on top. I think it will stay this way as I very seldom rev it over 7.5K, preferring to let the meaty torque hustle me along.
Just when I thought I had it optimized... another little gain (for how I use it anyhow). LOVE my VTR!!!

Rode The Murvinator back from Joneseys, after spending yesterday clearing up his workshop...
He was shamed about it when I was up there a few weeks ago & despite him saying he would clear it up he needed a kick up the butt & help to sort it...
Honestly there were tools in every corner, in boxes, on the floor...
This is the pile of crap at the end of the day...

This is The Murviator bin shot with Chris holding his co ck... ( it's hen but thats not as funny...)
