Start of putting the engine back together! I know its a risk but I have decided to go open belts, I just love the look... If anyone notices the weld on the engine stand, well I am truly ashamed... I have no excuse other than i was really down on gas, and had the wrong tip in the MIG welder A poor workman always blames his tools so they say
the frame and wheels are back from the shot blasters... another superb job by Redditch Shotblasters! he really is a meticulous guy! he does a nice Ducati Red, and a matt gold very close to the original!
Finished off the clamps and top yoke... and gave everything a polish... Polishing is a long, dirty, and quite dangerous job! I try to do everything at once as it makes a mess in the workshop!
Wow you've certainly been a busy boy
Yes polishing is a dirty job I agree, although it can be addictive I have found
It's going to look like a brand new bike when you've finished.
I hope you've not forgotten about the jewellery box for your wife

Engine installed in the frame! I cant think of any bike that is so simple to get the engine in the frame… I remember three of us struggling to get a Laverda 1000 lump in a freshly painted frame years ago, trying desperately not to mark the paint!
