Can't ride for a few weeks so decided to pull the forks for paint, k-tech springs and the rebound needle mod. Learned that 1mm drill bits are delicate and seal doesn't slide hammer out with the stanchion if the internals are still bolted in place 🙄. Still, seems no damage done.

Took it to Oulton and had a crap time. I had a slide on the sighting laps, off on the grass in the second session then had a guy bin it in front of me in the third, I ended up in the gravel. Sat out the four session then packed up and went home. The only plus was I didn't drop it.

Had a new rear installed on Custurd...

Many miles of A2 squared the oldun off somewhat...

Got back from holiday last night, so decided to get the bike MoT’d. It was due on the 7th but we travelled then so it didn’t happen. Normally I’d do the normal minimal quick checks, tootaling the horn tunefully (as per Honda owners handbooks circa 1965!) flashing the lights etc. I know the bikes sound after all.
Anyway get to the testers and he’s just bought a nice 1956 Matchless 500 twin jampot, pretty little bike in nice nick, lots of chatting about his other 14 bikes and eventually my bike gets looked over. “The horns not working” says he, I bend down to reconnect the leads and “that’s because it’s not there, it’s fecked off!” Christ knows how or when, but it’s dropped off somewhere.
Luckily I had a spare at home from when I swapped out the Storm front end for the blade. So a nice simple fix. The bikes getting like me, bits dropping off!
Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero
F3, 954 USD front, K Tech springs, Braced swinger, Penske shock, Six spoke Mockesini wheels, Harris rearsets, QaT, Flywheel diet!, A&L stacks, stick coils, K&N, FP Ti jets, lashings of Ti & CF

Good point, didn't all this start not long after finishing the tank Rob ?. blocked breather, insufficient breather, no breather ?

Fabiostars' problems make my cam timing headscratching after a case split look nothing. Does sound like fuel supply. Could a pipe be collapsing when hot, getting partly crushed?
Finished the forks rebuild and they do feel nicer, can't wait to road test them.

I got my previously cleaned bike out of the van in Leeds and hot it very very dirty.
What's the point?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
