spent part of the day in the garage on my first meeting with bike since last fall
- replaced carb slides with new unmolested ones (previous ones had one normal size and one smaller lift hole so going to two full-size will allow them to lift more quickly, let`s see how that goes)
- reinforced area around screw holes on rear cowling (current one, new to me last year, is already showing small cracks)
- replaced rubber dust boot on the clutch MC (radial Brembo unit from Monster 1100)

have a few more odds and ends to do (repair small crack in fairing, replace front turn signals) but it was enough for one day; besides, roads are covered with sand here, leftovers from a long and snowy winter so am in no mad rush to get out just yet.... must say I am looking forward to getting the old girl out again....

Finally finished the fighters front end, and I’m pretty pleased with the look. ImageImageImage

The yellow patches on the mudguard are inspired; they break up the orange paint and really add interest.

Well done!

Would you prefer it if it was Micky Mouse and the headlights where ears  I must admit though Homer Simpson might have been more appropriate but I do kind of like the skull accept it's a bit common. A cuckoo clock would be a good one to have and every hour a little birdie pops it's head out a bit like sticking your tongue out at all the others on the road. Lets face it you've got to be mad to have a streetfighter.....cuckoo cuckoo

Took Custurd out for a spin...Needed some suplies so went to Asda in Chatham...

Filled up on the way out & headed for Kent Bearings to order a set of bearings for shock linkage...

On me way there whilst observing the speed limit through the Medway tunnel I may of accidently set of a huge kill switch backfire !

Opened it up to go past a HGV to get into the left hand lane...

Is that a blue light in me mirror ?

Ooooppps !

Aproaching the roundabout the sirens go on...I turned left he turned right...Pheewwww!

Obviously there are bigger crimes than shi tting people up with a loud bang...
