Your 2-1 is a hack job tho done the same way I did mine .
Keep the can well packed as it’ll burn the wadding faster than you think .

That’s weird. There’s absolutely no signs of it being cut, patched, welded, or messed with. Bends are nice and even, welds are all good, if it is a home brew they did a wicked job of it

Re: Project bike time!
It looks a good job .
You’ll need to get it on a dyno to see how it’s fuelling as chances are it’s not been set up for it .
It’s not easy todo either as you loose a chunk on the mid range .
They do sound evil tho and spitting flames is good too

Honestly. The thing goes like sh1t off a shovel. No flat spots and more than enough power for me! It’s been jetted, and has a k&n.
Bike hasn’t been used for a long while either, so the more miles I put on it the better and better it gets. Yes. I should pull and clean the carbs. It’s on the list.

Thought it might be Hunts, I'm always popping in there for bits, Neil before he left, and Jordan on the counter both know me as Kevsp2/3

Your bike is coming on a treat
Well done,
Chris.

Re: Project bike time!
if you look at the std headers you will be able to see that it joins together and then splits again to feed the 2 end cans. all they have done is cut the header just before it splits again. then they have cleaned up the stub and had a link pipe made to join the end can.

Re: Project bike time!
Today has been a good day. Firstly, managed to source a reasonably priced 6 spoke front wheel.
Also dug through some new old stock at work and got myself a new chain guard, stator cover (this has a tiny mark, but it’s getting powder coated anyway!) and a brand spanking new front fairing stay/bracket... all for the princely sum of a tenner! The fairing stay retails at £240 so I’m pretty buzzing about it. They’ve also got some fairings somewhere, so I shall be looking for them soon!

Welcome Joe. I work not far from Hunts and I'm in and out periodically for spares. Next time I'm on I'll say hello.
Looks like you're moving along nicely with the tidying up. Just don't go looking for any really trick parts. It's a slippery slope.

Although every little helps.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Project bike time!
Had an insane day in work today, so not much done! Did manage a test fit of the rear wheel, just to make sure o got the right one!
I did! Even with no tyre and in totally the wrong colour I think it looks so much better than the three spokes.
Cannot decide on colour though...... gold, bronze, or florescent yellow..... help!
