The pipes, the pipes are calling

Post by exTRX850 »

Gentlefolk,

an opinion here please, no guarantees required.

i have a quote for new Staintune pipes for AUD$1200 or these across town secondhand, haven't seen them in the flesh yet Staintune pipes for $400.

Thoughts on successful fitment & a guesstimate on any missing parts to have them fitted off the hangars in the original pipe position and replacing original pipes... no bracket to hold the pipes seen in the photo & the seller is probably using the bracket on the other pipes on his running VTR...

G'day, are we missing something here. IIRC Staintune pipes rise up so are you thinking about the hangers too. I have never seen a VTR over here with Staintune pipes on. I think they are mostly Australian and designed to keep roos at bay.

Probably, hoped someone would know though because I don't. Was hoping the curve of the pipe inlet end in the photo compared to original pipe curves would be an aha for someone. I may have to go for a drive to find out...

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
